Job Posting – Brantford Symphony Orchestra Program Assistant 

$15.00 hour for 20 hours per week ($300.00 week x 52 weeks) $15,600.00 per year for a two-year term

Terms of Employment: Part-time Contract, not to exceed 20 hours per week

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, valid Driver’s Licence
Education: Completion of high school, some college or university
Experience: 1 – 2 years

Employed for a charitable organization the successful candidate must have excellent communication & organizational skills, work flexible hours (some evenings and weekends), enjoy working with the general public, organization members, volunteers and other contract staff. This position will report to the Manager, Development and Communications under the supervision of the board of directors. The successful applicant will coordinate and manage all recital programs included in our Ontario Trillium Foundation Outreach Program request. Liaise with school principals, music teachers, the BSO education committee, musicians, Artistic Administrator, board of directors and program partners – Brant Community Healthcare System and Ontario Early Years management and staff. All programs are to be evaluated using quantitative and qualitative measures to track improvements and demonstrate impact internally and externally.Other administrative duties may include the preparation of donor packages, education and outreach programs materials, assist with the preparations of fundraising and marketing activities and their committees. The candidate must have experience with data base management, mail merges, filing, flyer distribution and general office procedures.Will train to gain experience with procedures pertaining to board of directors and committee reports, and specific duties to expand current outreach programs with community partners.Work in the Arts, Work in Culture, Brantford, Ontario
