Many people write me and inform me of all the things they do to try and keep tinnitus at bay or how they can focus on fixing it. The truth is, if all you do is focus on fixing it or making it better you will do nothing more than give it more attention. Stop giving it attention and you will fix it.What I’m saying may seem cryptic at first. But, if you follow this advice you will over time gain an understanding of what I’m suggesting. Only by focusing your attention on what you truly want will you rid yourself of what you don’t want.

Yet still, many people ask me how to do that. Do you really want to know? Do you really want to know how to attract more of what you want and less of what you don’t want? If so then I suggest to you that you pay close attention to what I’m about to share with you.

Here is the true secret to getting more of what you want and less of what you don’t want. This formula is courtesy of Dr. Robert Anthony, a famous author and motivational speaker, who taught it to me. Here’s how to figure out what your true heart’s desire is;

#1 Ask yourself this question; What do I want to have in my life, that I don’t have right now?

#2 If I had that in my life, or I was that, how would that make me feel? When you ask yourself this question, really try to focus on what you are feeling. The stronger the emotion, the closer it is to your true heart’s desire.

#3 Rate each feeling for the answers to question 1 and 2 on a scale of 1 to 100. We call this the heart’s desire intensity scale.

When you do this exercise it may take some practice and time to get it right. But, as I said, you must focus on the feeling.

Now, anything less than 100 on your heart’s desire intensity scale is less than good enough. Desires that carry a 100 are your true heart’s desires and as such cannot be denied. In other words, you have a 100% chance of achieving these things if they rate at least a 100.

You may be asking yourself at this point, “How come I’ve never heard this before?” Simply because no one has every told you this. But, I can say with 100% assurance that if you pursue desires that rate less than 100 on your heart’s desire intensity scale that you are doomed to living the same uncomfortable existence for the rest of your life. And, that includes the pain and anguish that tinnitus brings into your life.

Only to the extent that you are willing to let go of the past and focus 100% of your energy on the things you truly want in life, will you be able to achieve success and happiness to the extent that you desire.

Letting go means having a clear expectation of receiving what you desire while at the same time detaching from the outcome of every circumstance. This is true living.

More information about ringing ears and tinnitus.

A while back I talked about getting out and doing what you love in an effort to control the negative grip that tinnitus has on you. This works more than anything else you could do and here’s the reason why; When you are doing what you love you are in vibrational alignment with the natural flow of the universe. More specifically, by vibrating at a higher positive energy you become a magnate for all your desires to flow easily into your life.

I’m sure that you recognize that every thought we have has energy. And, because everything that we can see, feel, touch, taste and experience also has energy, by enjoying what you love you are naturally attracting good energy like a magnate.

What’s the perfect vibrational alignment? When you no longer feel uncomfortable about what you don’t have in your life, while feeling grateful for everyone and everything, you are in the perfect vibrational alignment to allow the steady fulfillment of every desire to come into your life.

That’s a powerful statement but very true. You see, you are never more happy and truly fulfilled than when you are doing what you love. Consider this; why is work considered work? When you don’t love what you’re doing.

The most successful people are the ones who have discovered how to love what they do and therefore they become powerful magnates for more success. If you get up and go to a job everyday just to pay the bills and you hate what you do, image how much of your day is spent spewing negative energy into the universe.

If you spend as much time as possible feeling good in the moment, while at work, rest and play then good things cannot not come into your life. It’s vibrationally incompatible for negativity to affect you when you are feeling good and on purpose.

The more you feel good, the less negativity can adversely affect you. Tinnitus is like this. I don’t know too many people, except me, that see tinnitus as a positive thing. Therefore, the less you spend focused on tinnitus by doing what you love, the less it will negatively affect your life. You may even learn, such as I have, to see tinnitus as a positive thing. Why? Because I’m never more sure about what I don’t want in my life than when tinnitus is bothering me.

So, I promptly pick myself up and get on with what I do love to do. I don’t wait. Even if I feel the slightest negative effects of tinnitus I change my thoughts quickly and efficiently onto something I do love. It works every time.

How can you do more of what you love and less of what you don’t? That’s the magic question. I of course know that everyone’s life is different and everyone has experienced a different version of tinnitus. But, if you are to rid yourself completely of tinnitus you must first understand that you cannot live in a negative space and attract good things into your life. The law of attraction knows nothing else. It will follow your thoughts and feelings and give you more of what you are focused on.

Everyone will experience “have toos” on the way to their “want toos.” But, remember this, even your “have toos” will seems a pleasure when your overall pupose and goal in life is to pursue the things you want most. When you are on the way to you true heart’s desire, a term that I’ve mentioned before, everything you’ve ever wanted will be on the way to you. And, you will be loving every minute of it.
Have a great day,

Paul Tobey

More tinnitus relief here.

There are likely hundreds of books, videos and audio tapes that try to teach you how to play popular piano in 10 easy lessons. But, do they work? While I can’t be sure that they do because I’ve never tried any of them, I’m pretty positive that the information contained within each course is valuable. The question is; how do you know which one to choose?

I personally offer (coming soon) a series of 10 online piano lessons but, these are not for beginners. They are for people with experience who want to get a whole lot better real fast.

I’ve not tried putting together a series of 10 piano lessons to help beginners play popular piano but if I did, here’s how I’d do it.

Lesson 1: Learn the 12 notes on the piano and how to finger a simple major scale
Lesson 2: The basics of chord harmony and how the chords are derived from the scale
Lesson 3: How to play major and minor chords in the left hand
Lesson 4: How to construct melody using your ear and basic harmony
Lesson 5: How to rhythmically put melody and chords together using right and left hand
Lesson 6: Add a seventh to the dominant chord
Lesson 7: Perfect cadences and how to voice them
Lesson 8: In a minor mood
Lesson 9: An intro on arpeggiating chords
Lesson 10: How to practice to get the most out of the first 9 lessons.

I’m curious to get some feedback from those who might have some insight into this. My intention is to eventually put together a 10 lesson video course for beginners and I’d like to know if you have any suggestions.

There are literally a million different scenarios that I could use to teach beginners. However, I believe the most effective results will be had using accelerated learning techniques. Because, it’s not what you learn but how you learn it that will determine how far you get.

All comments are welcome and I look forward to hearing from you.

Paul

PS: If you have any comments of which “How to Play Popular Piano in 10 Easy Lessons” course that you’ve already taken and would like to share your thoughts on it I’d apprecicate that too! Thanks.

There are many people that search on Google or Yahoo for “how to play the piano despite years of lessons.” The fact is, many people simply don’t understand the relationship between taking lessons and actually being able to sit at the piano and play.

The biggest stumbling block to being able to just sit down and play is the way they were taught. Learning notes on a page and memorizing those notes is a highly ineffective way of learning. Do you remember high school? When you had to study for an exam, it’s likely that you crammed as much information as you could, into your head at one time, then wrote the exam. But, if you had to write that same exam 2 weeks or 2 months later, how well would you do? Probably not very well.

You see, the old way of cramming information does not work favorably for long term retention. What does? Only by learning why something is and comprehending it thoroughly through doing or practicing, can you hope to achieve lasting retention.

Therefore, when you were taught to play the piano you liekly had to cram a few thousand notes into you head over a few months period. Then, you played it at your recital, then a few months after that you completely forgot the whole thing. Right?

What’s a better way of learning? By understanding the relationship between how music is built and how you ear hears it. By learning the fundamental building blocks of harmony and hearing the difference between the chords you will begin to learn how to make music up based on the way it should sound.

It’s called improvisation. It is a skill which few people posses and even fewer can execute. But, by improvisation I mean; being able to pick up a tune just by listening to it. Then, using the rules of harmony and your ear, you will be able to sit down and play it.

Can this be learned? Yes! But it is a commitment which few people will ever undertake. But, I still encourage you to find out more about it. Download one of my free online piano lessons and you will quickly understand what it means to truly play the piano despite years of lessons.

Your first downloadable video piano lesson is free!  I did alot of research online and checked out 2 dozen piano lesson offers out there. I suscribed under alias’, checked out their learning material, videos and selling propositions.  I checked out auto response systems, their shopping carts, how they sell, and target audiences.  90% of the stuff out there was for beginners.  Lots of UPSELL features in the money making sites! There is a large market for beginners (young & adult piano players).

I checked out the camera angles, the production quality of the lessons, and the learning methods offered.  I literally found nothing I would want to learn from.  It just doesn’t exist online yet.

I’m assuming there is a market out there for people like me.  I’m a pro, and I like to learn all the time.  I believe there is a market out there which is widely underserved for intermediate and professionals who want some serious training. I saw very little for intermediate to advanced piano players.  There was tons of “play by ear” stuff.  And some traditional learning material.  A couple of jazz piano sites.  But nothing for me!

As a pro, I know I want to learn more than just “technique”.  I want insight, widsom, and I want to get “in your head” of the pro I’m learning from…so to speak.

When I was a young professional, I had the thirst for knowledge.  I was a good pianist, but I wanted to be great.  So I went to someone great to learn.  I saved my money and travelled from Montreal to New York to learn from the great jazz pianist Kenny Barron.  Back then I was so broke (starving artist), that I could only afford one lesson.  So, you could imagine, the Canadian dollar was weak, and it was a big deal to afford the lesson $250 USD, the travel expenses and the time to go!

I met him in his studio.  He played like an angel (literally).  I asked him…”how did you do that, right there, what did you play?”.  He couldn’t answer me.  He didn’t know how to describe what he just did.  He must of felt my frustration, because here was a technical kid in front of him, full of information, and full of insecurities.  He looked at me as said “look kid, your a great player, you just have to learn to play from the heart.”

I didn’t get it.  I was so angry.  I was there to learn technique, (his technique) not to hear “play from the heart!”  It took me another 5 years to learn that lesson! Even though the RIGHT information was right in front of my nose, I missed it.  I wanted technique.  What he had was the wisdom to tell me what I needed.  I needed to get out of my head and into my heart.  I didn’t have the “ears” or “spiritual awareness” to really get what he was saying.  I was a young lion wanting to make my mark on the world.  I didn’t understand that the heart had anything to do with it. Had I heard it in the first place, it would have saved me some time, and a few heartaches.

You see, piano lessons are not just about technique.  It’s an important aspect.  I could teach technique because I myself love technique.  But a true master, understands that it takes more than a genius or a master technician to be a great piano player.  It takes a combination of mental, spiritual, physical and emotional awarness to become truly “great”.  I base my 10 lessons on these teachings.

Your first piano lesson is free.  I use downloadable video piano lessons to coach and train you, because I find it most effective to communicate.  Yes, technique is important.  But I share with you the wisdom of many masters before me, Kenny being one of many.  In every lesson, I take 15 minutes to teach on the mental and spiritual lessons, and 20-35 minutes to teach technique.  One flows with the other.  It is impossible to teach one without the other.  That is why we have so many great technicians out there, many who will die undiscovered, unrewarded, unappreciated, and simply heartbroken.  There is much to learn! So let’s get on with it.

With a great film crew and a nice set, we filmed 10 online piano lessons in 3 days.  We are currently in the editing process, and are setting up the “store” back-end to support the students purchase options.  We are almost there! :-)

Enjoy you free piano video lesson.  Coming soon! Sign up to recieve your first free piano lesson.
