This blog post is 874 words and it took less than 5 minutes to create. Now that’s worth exploring, don’t you think?

As a technology minded person I am constantly on the lookout for software that increases productivity and saves time. Imagine my excitement when I downloaded and started using Dragon speech recognition software.

Because much of what I do involves the creation of content, I was really looking forward to the speech to text experience. However, I was somewhat hesitant because this type of software has received some pretty bad reviews in the past. Most of these reviews were due to accuracy problems.

However Dragon Speech is claiming a 99% accuracy rate. That alone got me excited. And so I couldn’t wait to download software and put it to the test. And I must say, I am totally impressed.

The Customer Experience

downloading and installing Dragon speech software from the Dragon NaturallySpeaking website is a fairly easy process and went off without a hitch.

One of the first things that you have to do once you install the software, is do various tests to ensure the quality of your recording equipment. Dragon speech actually comes with its own Bluetooth microphone. But any USB headset will work equally as well if not better.

I personally use a $50 USB headset and after the initial Dragon speech tests, which only took a few minutes, I moved on to the training portion of the setup process.

Training involves reading a passage from a book. There are several books in the Dragon speech database and you simply choose the one you wish, I chose Alice in Wonderland. By reading a passage from Alice in Wonderland the software literally trains itself to recognize your tone, speed, volume, pitch, and even accent.

After about 5 min. of reading the software prompts you that your finished and then it configures the software to work.

I think this is the most important aspect of the software because it’s the training that ensures its accuracy. In fact the software will not allow you to use it without training it first.

Overall Benefits

there are multiple benefits to Dragon speech recognition software. I shall endeavour  to write them in point form;

1. There are a number of embedded commands that you can use to open files, save documents, switch from document to document and program to program.

2. Formatting is also advanced, and there are several formatting functions that you can carry out such as bold, italicize, font size etc.

3. You can also move around your document quite easily by speaking various cursor functions.

4. You can also zoom in and zoom out of documents.

5. Spell checking is also an important feature. There are many voice commands for using spell check.

6. You can also carry out various search functions on the computer by saying the word search and inserting what exactly it is you’re looking for in terms of its keyword phrase.

7. There are also various help functions with Dragon speech, and it’s fairly easy to learn all aspects, or at least the important ones.

8. Perhaps one of the most important functions of Dragon speech is the ability to create custom commands. For example if you have a command that is not included in its standard commands you could simply train the software to remember that specific command. And it would carry out the command based on its training either by following your movements with the mouse and keyboard or simply inserting blocks of text.

9. The installation process as I mentioned before is fairly easy and you will be up and running quickly and having a ton of fun doing it.

Choosing the Right Version

there are several different versions of Dragon speech software, from basic to advanced. I am personally using Dragon professional. However, I have found that the standard version 11 is a tremendous value and will do pretty much everything that you would have to do in a small business.

Cons

While the software is powerful it also uses plenty of computer RAM space. I would recommend that you use it with an up-to-date computer and run at least two gigs of RAM.

Well simple commands are fairly easy, some of the more advanced commands will take some memory on your part. Switching back and forth between the Dragon speech help area and your programs is a bit cumbersome but you’ll get used to it.

The professional versions of this software are in my opinion a bit overpriced but like anything that is worthwhile you will have to invest.

Pros

The software is very intuitive and a joy to use. It is highly accurate and does help you increase productivity and cuts down on the amount of time that you need to create lengthy documents. There is no one I know that can type as fast as you can speak, in the matter how fast you speak the software will keep up with a tremendous amount of accuracy.

Conclusions

Get this software, it will change your business life, save you a ton of time, and totally increase the amount of content that you create.

One such marketing course that is consistently ranking well is Paul Tobey’s Marketing and Mastery course presented by Training Business Pros.

In this two-day intensive training course you will learn how to leverage the power of the Internet, social media, presentation marketing and tradeshow marketing into your overall marketing plan to increase the amount of business that you have and the amount of prospects that you create.

One of the most valuable aspects of the course is learning how to build a targeted mailing list of subscribers and use advanced e-mail marketing techniques to convert those subscribers into new business.

Paul Tobey is considered by many to be one of the big rising stars in the North American marketing scene. His new book entitled “Suggestology” is not only a popular subject among past participants in his course but a new methodology which will ultimately aid you in the conversion process.

Suggestology is the art of planting the seeds of trust within 5 min. and growing it for a lifetime. Once business owners understand this concept they will be able to build long-term trust, credibility and respect with their current clients and prospective clients.

Here are some of the things that you will learn in this course,

Why it is important to focus exactly on a goal that incorporates a significant risk has a measurable result and a specific time limitation.

How to use the art of hypnotic copywriting and suggestology to engage visitors to your website and get them to stay long enough so that you can educate them on the value of your products and services.

How to use a powerful template that will bring you a massive increase in your sales conversions not only online but off-line as well.

How to grow your mailing list, manage that list using automation and ultimately convert those prospects into sales.

How to use an extremely powerful template to present your products and services to prospective clients whether that’s one, two, 20 or 200 people at a time. It’s not what you present but how you presented that matters.

What are the four main pillars of Internet marketing and how you can use them to increase your bottom line.

Social media marketing concepts, not from another consultant but from someone who actually makes money directly from social media strategies.

Companies in Oakville will ultimately benefit from these strategies, not only because of the extremely powerful nature of these 21st-century concepts but, mainly because most businesses and companies in Oakville are not aware of most of these concepts.

That means that if you were the one in your niche industry that incorporates these strategies in a big way then you will outpace your competition by a mile.

I highly encourage you to register for your next free three-hour introductory marketing and mastery seminar.

The next event for companies in Oakville will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn just off Winston Churchill Boulevard and the QEW January 20 from 1 PM to 4 PM.

Companies in Oakville are highly encouraged to register here for the next course January 20. There is always limited seating.

National Women’s Show Toronto Review: by Nancy Houle

Are you considering purchasing a booth at the National Women’s Show? If you are, please read this review from the perspective of an exhibitor.

The National Women’s Show in Toronto is “Trick or Treating” for adult women. I’ve been a producer of tradeshows, and frequently purchase booths at tradeshows, but I’ve never quite experienced anything like this. Here it is: If you are a Business-to-Business, and you don’t have merchandise to give-away, this show may not be for you. If you are a Business to Consumer booth, and you do have free merchandise to give, and/or a low-cost product to sell, then this show may be perfect for you.

You decide! Read on:

Here’s what I observed. There were over 400+ booths, most of them, Business to Consumer in the areas of health, wellness, food, fashion and more. There is also a section for “Business and Careers”, however, out of the 40 000 patrons they expected, this would be the least popular section. For example, TD Financial, Sunlife, and other “network marketing” companies offering business opportunities didn’t see much in-booth traffic, because the women in the isles were really hunting for the “free” samples in the food isles, or the $1.00 liqueur sampling isle (donations to a great cause).

I personally spoke to other B-2-B booths, and they were not complaining! Instead, they had resolved themselves to the fact that this was a “branding” opportunity, and it was okay if they didn’t drum up business. One financial planner got 1 lead out of 40 000 patrons. However, if the 40 000 people walk by your booth, is it really 40 000 impressions? Did you successfully brand? Hmm…

Winners at the show were folks like the “Fresh Start” booth, a mega food operation with well over the 45 Million in earnings. I spoke to a lady there, and they were thrilled with the long line-up of women sampling their dips and hummus. Fresh Start had hundreds (if not thousands) of women sampling their goodies and that type of branding goes a long way in the food industry. Now, I think that makes the “impression”. I’m not sure how much “product” they actually sold in the course of 3 days. However, this is the type of successful booth that does get the solid foot traffic, with a strong possibility of converting that foot traffic into a solid customer.

I spoke to gentleman who was selling a special type of “yoga” mat. He knew a gentleman that was poised at the front door of the National Women’s Show, who was taking a survey of how much “cash” women brought to spend at the show. The average cash in wallet was $60.00. When the “yoga mat” guy found out he quickly dropped his “yoga mat” price down from $79.00 to $59.00. Last time we checked on Sunday, he didn’t sell any mats. Not every booth is there for branding. Some want sales. He wasn’t getting the Return On Investment he was looking for.

Rogers, a lead sponsor for the event had a very confusing booth. Someone there made a huge mistake. They divided the Rogers booth into 4 sections, looking at ways to get women to walk into the booth. It was so confusing. You didn’t know if you were there for make-up, pictures and/or magazines. The last thing you thought you were there for was a Rogers product or service.

It was definitely the worst case scenario in terms of branding. Someone on the Rogers team probably came up with the idea of getting women in the booth with 4 points of entry – to take a picture, pick up a magazine, or get a make-up consultation. WOW! Really. What a marketing mess. This was a key example of trying too hard to get the foot traffic into your booth, with a weak execution. A better idea may have been to set up a seminar stage, and have a comedian teach women how to use remote control. I would have appreciated that!

There was not too much to offer in terms of Fashion. Most of the fashion booths were “flea” market-ish with a few exceptions. One Fashion show I did attend, featured only three female models. One beautiful young model with the perfect catwalk, and one perfectly muscular sculpted woman with a very awkward catwalk. Thankfully, they included a seasoned mature model aimed to appeal to the more “real” women in attendance. There was the token male model in a nice bathing suit, though excellent eye candy, his impact dissolved after his first two appearances. The bribe to stay at this fashion show was the promise of a $25 coupon to a hair salon. It was cheesy.

The workshops and seminars were sometimes fun, sometimes lost in the shuffle. If not on the main stage, most the secondary workshops seemed poorly attended.

I did attend an in-booth demonstration from a spaghetti brand, as they taught how to make proper spaghetti. I actually learned something! I liked the idea of sitting down at a bistro table watching a tattooed unpolished guy teach the ABC’s of making good pasta. And the crew of men at the booth scrambled to give each person a great “in-booth” experience. I stayed throughout and thought, yeah, this booth works! Excellent.

I felt really bad for some of the other booths who had zero foot traffic. I saw one booth tended by a lovely married couple who probably got stuck with the worst booth location on the planet. A lesson on booth location, sometimes a deal is not worth the location. Watch what real-estate you buy at tradeshows. Location, location, location!

Then there was the alcohol alleyway. One must purchase tickets to sample wines and liquor, and all money raised from ticket sales went to an excellent charity. On Saturday, while getting close to closing time for the day, Paul and I purchased 5 tickets for 5 dollars where we found a booth promoting Ontario wine. This is where we began to chat to a group of 5 women having a great time while perched on a couch sampling the vintage- since noon. They told us that they had made the visit to the National Women’s Show a tradition. For them, it was truly a “girl’s day out”. However, we noted, that no one had shopping bags.

Well, given we were a Business-2-Business booth, by day two, we decided to take a more direct approach. With 5 in our crew, we sent out 4 of our crew to go meet the business owners in their booths and see how it was going. We eventually signed up over 100 business owners into our courses, but note, that only 5 of those registrations were as a direct result of foot traffic in the isles coming into our booth. After all, we didn’t have freebies at our booth and no merch for under $10.00.

I have to tell you the Show personnel and crews were exceptional. We booked the booth at the last minute, and even though they had no previous experience with us, they accommodated us like we were their best client. Honestly, the National Women’s Show treated us VERY well. I was so impressed with how they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, accommodate us, and it set the tone for a great weekend. No question, if you have the right product, geared to this audience, you’ll do great! And with a professional, courteous and inviting crew like that, you’ll want to be part of their show.

However, note, before you choose the National Women’s Show in Toronto, you must qualify if you have a low-end offer (a low-risk entry level offer) to have the highest impact for those women who take this show as a day of “trick or treating”. Hopefully, you can convert that foot traffic into sales if you are collecting their customer data, or developing brand awareness, and/or creating a new loyal customer. But beware, you go in with expensive product, you will be packing it up again at the end of three days.

I was sitting in the load out area waiting for the car. (I waited 1.5 hour wait for the car to make it into the load-in area). Anyway, I met a crew from Montreal that was selling an arthritis product. The Montreal ladies commented that the Montreal & Quebec shows were much more high end, attracting a higher level of consumer. They recommended that we try Montreal.

We heard it from many exhibitors over the weekend. In fact, I wish I could say that I coined the idea that the National Women’s Show in Toronto was “Trick or Treating” for adult women. But, I can’t take credit. That was the guy two booths down from us. The National Women’s show in Toronto is really a bargain basement show for women who had no plans to spend real money.

It’s clear the National Women’s Show in Toronto is getting the reputation that it’s attracting a lower end consumer to it’s flea market style for adult Trick or Treaters. I guess we witnessed that first hand (we’ll post video to show you). Unfortunately, that’s bad for Toronto’s reputation. And all weekend, I did wonder, why are the professional women not walking down these isles? Where are they?

I did see many of the female professionals we did train, all with booths and/or speaking. This was pretty cool. One of our students with a “jeweler” booth was doing gangbusters. She had the right product for this show. But one thing we did all agree, where was the professional woman in this show? The answer is…she wasn’t. There wasn’t much there in terms of fashion, and/or experience to lure her there. It’s really not for her.

It’s great to see that the car dealerships and Harley Davidson was there, totally aware that the female often is head of the buying power. I also had the opportunity to meet Brett Wilson from Dragon’s Den. He was randomly walking the isles talking to the folks manning their booths, which was pretty cool. I’m a huge fan, for me that was a highlight.

By 4:00pm on Sunday many booths are starting to give deep discounts on their products, or making trades, or giving away their stock. I spent $100 on a case of blueberry syrup that will make blueberry martinis. I found a few more corporate gifts too. I bought tons of Hummus and nuts for the Christmas parties. I was willing to spend way more money. I was about to go buy bags and bags of organic dog food, but their booth shut down early. The lady tending the booth waiting for her mate to pick up the final pieces to her booth made a snide remark when I told her I was coming there for the bags of organic dog food, and expressed my disappointment she shut down before 5pm.

Even though I had 3 hundred dollar bills in my hand, and I looked eager to buy, by the end of three days, I guess even the dog lady thought EVERYONE was looking for a freebie. And she was clearly shut down for business. Whatever her story was for the weekend, she couldn’t hide her disappointment. I walked away thinking I would have bought the dog food sooner, I just didn’t want to have to deal with hauling it out before load-out. Oh well, I didn’t even get her card.

Fall is traditionally a busy time for trade shows. Whether you’ve participated as a vendor or as a customer you know by experience that they can be a very good resource for drumming up new business.

The problem is: most business simply do not know how a well played conference marketing plan can make a huge difference in the outcome.

In other words; it’s important to know exactly how to walk away from your next trade show with not only cash sales but long term business prospects.

First of all, where can you find a list of upcoming trade shows that you can participate in? There is a great website that I love called the “Trade Show News Network” http://www.tsnn.com/ and it has a very extensive listing and a great search engine to target you efforts.

Once you create a list of targeted shows then you simply want to call them up and negotiate a booth space. If you’re just starting out, a 10′ X 10′ space will suffice and if you’re seasoned you could get as many as 6 to 8 spaces together.

However, when you talk to the producers you should make sure to ask if there are any speaking spots. Why? Because that’s how you build the most trust, credibility and respect for you and your business.

Speaking is the most important thing you could do from a conference marketing perspective. Think of it this way. It’s your target market and you’re the one who’s holding the microphone. Perfect. You are seen as the expert and that is essential to creating business.

For more conference marketing ideas please register for a FREE seminar…
=> “Trade Show Marketing Secrets.” <=

Please want to do business with leaders and when you speak, you have that leadership status that they’re looking for. The problem usually occurs when you open your mouth and don’t know what to say or do. That’s an article for another day but you really shouldn’t wing it. Get some training from someone who knows how to present effectively. That’s the key!

Anyway, back to the negotiation. When you speak with the producers of the event, make sure you request a speaking spot and use the purchase of the booth space as leverage. Have a good idea of what your topic is and why it is relevant.

You shouldn’t just use your speaking position to promote your business. That happens as a natural results of delivering a great seminar. You should give real value to the audience. Fix a problem, give direction and help others succeed.

The producers should see the value in it and they will likely give you the spot of you choosing if you do it correctly.

Plan well ahead of the trade show date and make sure you’ve got a great booth set-up ready. A well designed pop-up booth can put a great face to your company and I would highly recommend that you get one. Professional looking booths can attract traffic and give the perception that you’re there to do business.

So, let’s say the big day arrives. What should you do? Well, I highly recommend that you use your booth as the landing zone to promote your speaking spot.

Get yourself at least 4 volunteers (or employees) to work the show with you. Put one or two of them at the entrance to hand out flyers for the speaking spot. You must promote it. People don’t just show up. There are many things to do at a trade show and your speaking spot is just one of them.

The flyers that you hand out should create curiosity for the event. Your name and the name of your company are not a headline. Think up a clever way to grab their attention and pull them to the seminar room.

At your booth, have your volunteers enrol and engage the foot traffic. Do demonstrations and ask a lot of question of the participants. That way, if you know what they need you can actually help them.

Refrain from the old style “elevate pitch”. It doesn’t work that well anymore. People do not want to be sold. They will however buy into what you are doing if you show an interest in them.

Hand out your flyers for the speaking spot at the booth and make sure you tell everyone to make sure they come. Tell them they won’t receive as much value in the entire show as they will receive at the seminar. Good conference marketing requires you to be confident and not afraid to be a great self-promoter.

What’s next? The seminar. The ins and out of that I’ll leave for another day but, let’s just say: it’s not what you present but, HOW you present it that matters.

Learning how to enrol and engage your audience and get them to take action requires training. For more information on that, have a look at my “Train the Trainer” course. It’ll help you learn everything you need to know to make money at your next trade show from a conference marketing perspective.

If you have not yet heard of Dubli you’re not alone. The brand name Dubli, while popular in Europe and Australia, has yet to make giant inroads in North America but, that is about to change in a big way!

Dubli continues to gain market share for its unique “reverse bid” auction where you can pick up brand merchandise for a fraction of its retails value. The “unique bid” and “express bid” are currently the mainstay of the Dubli brand.

However, even Dubli knows that a one-trick or two-trick pony will only get you so far in the competitive North American online marketplace.

Having recently visited the gleaming offices of its US headquarters in West Palm Beach Florida, I can give you an insiders report on what they are planning and how well I think it will work.

But, before I do that, as an online reputation consultant, Dubli needs to work on its “Dubli Scam” moniker. Why? Because people tend to believe the negative before the positive and if Dubli is to ever break into the open market, unencumbered by negative publicity, it will have to face its reputation head on.

For example:

Like many other companies, Google’s “Suggest” brings up the key word phrase “Dubli Scam” at the top of the list when typing Dubli into the Google search box. Naturally the thought that Dubli is a Scam pops into your head and you click on “Dubli Scam” to check it out.

Here is the perfect example why I don’t like Google’s Suggest tool. It not only slows down the search process it puts ideas into your head ideas that weren’t there before.

So, how did the phrase Dubli Scam pop up in the first place?

It likely happened when online users wanted to express their opinions on Dubli’s reverse auction site. It is rather complicated and without doing research and practising how and when to bid, many users could lose money rather quickly.

But, that’s not the only reason. For example; if you read one of the online comments, Dubli failed to promptly ship an item, or the item was ‘out of stock” after the bidder won the item. My understanding is that Dubli has rectified this problem by having its own warehousing space and only puts an item on its auction site if Dubli owns and ships the item themselves.

President Michael Hansen says that Dubli has learned from its mistakes and neither he or his executive staff are deterred by them. Having recognized more opportunity in the growing sector of streaming technology and cell phone applications Dubli is rolling out a brand new platform in October. It’s all pretty hush hush but if I were you, I’d find out what’s going on so that I were in the know.

Here’s what I can tell you:

Dubli is promising its shareholders to roll out multiple new applications which will finally put all Dubli scam reports to rest. The Dubli reverse auction site will continue to exist but will become secondary to many new shopping and entertainment features for users to embrace.

One such feature is Dubli’s own powerful and intuitive search engine app for online and smart phones, which gives shoppers a quick price check look-up across multiple retail sites, saving the searcher precious online time by delivering up the least expensive price on the internet. Plus, if you buy it through Dubli you will get a 110% price guarantee and bonus credits to spend on other things.

Dubli is also positioning itself to be a leader in the area of streaming media. They are betting on the fact that most consumers do not want to store or back-up their own entertainment data such as video and audio.

How will this work through Dubli? Apparently, for a low price, lower than the average spend on coffee per month, a Dubli customer can store unlimited data in an online account and be able to access video and audio for most mobile devices.

Despite the online reports of some unhappy Dubli reverse auction members Dubli scam is and has always be far from being a scam. It may be of value for you to suggest that the executives at Dubli have learned some big lessons over the years and have just recently seriously stepped up their game plan.

In addition to some high value strategic acquisitions, word on the street is; Dubli will be using street smart marketing skills to get their media campaign going.

Above their media ad-buys, they are gathering key resellers in Canada and the USA to help move the plan into place. Perhaps we should be watching the Dubli ticker price as well?

This report was generated for “Dubli scam”. Our company offers business training which helps monitor the online reputation of the top network marketing companies for the purpose of supporting small business owners, network marketers and work from home lead generators.

SOHO – SME is the Small Office Home Office or the Small Medium Enterprise Conference originates in Vancouver and tours Toronto, Calgary and Ottawa. It’s purpose is to serve as a resource for Canada’s small and medium sized businesses, connecting them to savings on products, services and learning tools.

TrainingBusinessPros also serves small to medium sized businesses throughout Canada and the USA, so it was a natural fit to take a more active position in SOHO’s sponsorship opportunities as a “Industry Partner”. Other sponsors include TD Bank, Grand & Toy, Rogers and The Portables.

The one-day event took place June 2nd at the Westin in Calgary, host to approx 30 exhibitors who promoted highly targeted services and products that are essentials to the survival of a small to medium sized business.

I discovered a few gems that you need to bookmark!

If you require IT Consulting Services Calgary, look up the high integrity folks at Yellowwood Networks Here is what made them stand out from the competition. Not only were these guys very busy servicing their own booths, and managing their own trade show traffic, when I began to experience technical difficulties at my booth, not only were they offering me a hand, they came to my workshop the next day to continue offering their high value support. This speaks volumes of their character. I didn’t get a bill. They just knew I was from out of town, they had the skill set, and they offered. They saved the day. I’m impressed with how they over-delivered, asking for nothing in return.

Anyone who takes care of their non-clients this well, imagine how outstanding they are taking care of their existing clients! Call up the folks at YellowWood Networks if you need to protect your data, secure your data, assist with your business processes, automate a few things, update your network, increase your productivity, reduce your risk, or network your office. Whatever you need, these guys know what service means. At the end of the day, anyone this service oriented will get my heartfelt recommendation! Call Nathan Lee and let him know his generous crew brought you there!

Another great gem I found was in my own backyard. Jack Smart Calgary. Check this out!

What Jack’s company does is lend money against your accounts receivables. So, if you have a temporary cash flow issue, and you have to make payroll, but your clients are not paying you fast enough, in steps Jack Smart Calgary to lend the money providing you meet the following provisions: 1) you delivered the product or service to your client in a good manner and 2) your client is in good credit standing

There is no limit to what they can lend, and how often they can lend. They are super competitive on borrowing rates, as low as 4% (which is outstanding). I’m telling you, this guy can help many businesses in need. I had actually trained Jack last month, but until I saw him again at SOHO, I had no idea of the great business he had helping businesses grow! Check out Jack Smart Calgary at Liquid Capital Corp.

I asked Jack if the company to businesses outside of Calgary. He said Yes! They could be anywhere in Canada. So, do call him up and tell him you read about him here first! 403-201-0041

Another golden nugget I learned in SOHO Calgary…

If you are a small medium sized business in Canada, hiring can be a scary thing. A risky investment…

But you need help, and you need it now. Consider this. Every day super qualified candidates come to our country looking for work. Immigration Canada wants you to find these qualified people. There are grants, mentorship programs, and all types of accessible funds to help you hire…which may be the solution to your growing needs. I’m so excited about the possibilities here, that we at TrainingBusinessPros are looking into this with serious interest. Hiring and selecting internationally trained workers can be the answer for your small to medium sized business in Canada. So, I met the good folks at Citizenship and Immigration Canada who briefed me in on incentives…and in addition to the Federal incentives, there may be additional provincial incentives in your area. To learn more, get this publication entitled “The Employer’s Roadmap – Hiring and Retaining Internationally Trained Workers” prepared by the Alliance Sector of Councils for the Foreign Credentials Referral Office of Citizenship and Immigration Canada. There is a whole new world of possibilities in this publication, and the value/benefit for your business may be very very strong. Look it up!

Those are just a few examples of the gems I discovered at SOHO Calgary. There are more of course, but I was pretty busy giving my own “Marketing & Mastery” presentation.

At this time, I wish to thank the Calgary crew that helped us at our booth garnering us Outstanding Results! Thank you to Jack Smart for dropping in and being the most popular guy at our booth and being an attractor factor! Thanks to our Marketing and Mastery Graduates including Yvette Corvette, Jorge Miranda and Rosemary Berglund, whose energy and StreetSmart Marketing skills filled our seminar room at the SOHO event!

Yvette and Rosemary had the opportunity to attend the Networking Lunch Keynote featuring Carla MacLeod, a 2010 Olympic Gold Medalist Canadian National Women’s Hockey Team. They reported she was excellent, and her story inspiring. Carla generously offered to pass around her gold medal, and everyone had the opportunity to touch it, feel it, and take a picture with it! If Yvette or Rosemary send me their pics, we’ll post it here!

If you are interested in the next SOHO event, to either exhibit, attend, or be a member of, just email the good folks at SOHO, and ask for their Special Offer! Tell them you heard about here first! Ask for Tyler or Lama at 1-800-290-7646 ext 257.

Overall, the SOHO event was a success for us. However, having said this, I must outline we are not a passive booth, and don’t expect results just by sitting there. Our team members are well trained on StreetSmartMarketing skills, that make a booth successful. If you need to upgrade your boothmanship skills, or need marketing tips and advice, contact our business training office at 416-229-4710 or visit The StreetSmartMarketer for a free subscription to the Marketing Tips Magazine.

Congratulations to Jos Willard from Canada Strategic Financial for winning a Marketing & Mastery 2-Day Intensive in Calgary Sept 11& 12 2010 during the SOHO event!
